Flat round

Also called: flat-round

In one line

A funding round priced at the same per-share value as the previous round — neither up nor down.

In plain English

A flat round raises money without changing the valuation. It's a neutral signal: not the growth of an up round, not the alarm of a down round.

If you were explaining it to a 5-year-old

The club raises more coins but keeps the toy price exactly the same as last time — no change in value.

Why it matters when you sell

A flat round keeps your reference price steady and avoids anti-dilution triggers, so it leaves your common value roughly intact.
