Priced round

Also called: priced equity round

In one line

A funding round where investors buy shares at an agreed, fixed price per share, setting a clear valuation.

In plain English

Unlike SAFEs or notes (which defer pricing), a priced round nails down the valuation and issues preferred shares immediately. It's the moment a company's value is formally reset.

The club finally agrees an exact price per toy and sells toys to investors at that price — no more 'we'll decide later'.

Why it matters when you sell

The price per share from the latest priced round is the cleanest public reference for valuing your own shares.
