Tag-along right

Also called: tag-along, co-sale right (founder level)

In one line

A right that lets minority shareholders join a sale by major holders, selling their shares on the same terms.

In plain English

The mirror image of drag-along: if big holders sell, tag-along lets you tag onto their deal and sell too, so you're not left stranded as a minority owner under new control.

If you were explaining it to a 5-year-old

If the big kids sell their toys to a buyer, you're allowed to add yours to the same sale and get the same price.

Why it matters when you sell

Tag-along protects you from being left behind in a sale, letting you exit alongside larger holders on equal terms.
